Daddy and Larissa are very glad to be able to celebrate Mommy's birthday with her. She has certainly been through a lot during the last year, and we think she deserves a wonderful birthday. We will fill you in on all of the details on the next update. Yesterday at breakfast, Joann glanced into the living room and saw Larissa standing at the coffee table reaching for a magazine. Mommy and Daddy were somewhat blown away. Yesterday, Larissa also made great progress on her crawling. Moving forward on arms and legs is now her preferred means of locomotion. She sometimes even makes it up to hands and knees. Joann is half-way through her 13th cycle of Taxol and Carboplatin. She has finished her Neupogen injections for this cycle, and her energy and spirits are high.
| | Larissa will be one year old on Saturday, July 24, 1999. We are planning a day where we will be able to clebrate with everyone who has been so helpful and supportive during the past year. In the afternoon, from 1:30 to 3:30, we plan to have a picnic in Washington Park in Albany, near the New Scotland Avenue entrance. We hope that many of our friends from Albany Medical Center will be able to attend. Later that afternoon, at approximately 5:00, we will have a party at the Spillway Road, West Hurley, home of Aunt Mary Frances, Aunt Rosmarie, and Uncle Ron. We hope that many of our friends from the Kingston area can attend there. Please let us know if you can attend either function. Thanks for visiting. Please continue your prayers and positive thoughts. Joann is continuing her battle against lung cancer with incredible resolve and good spirits. Jim is blessed with Joann and Larissa, and we all thrive with wonderful support from family and friends.
