Keeping with her pattern, Larissa is at the office a week early. Now she won't be excited about going to the office with Daddy next week. Daddy says, "Shucks." Joann is finished with Neupogen for this cycle. The next two weeks are easier. We will be visiting the Cravens on Nantucket next weekend, to celebrate the Island's Daffodil Festival.

A new month has begun, so a new page, too. Joann started the month with a trip to Albany Medical Center for the eleventh cycle of Taxol/Carboplatin chemotherapy. Joann packed a picnic basket with homemade honey-wheat rolls, slices of broiled eggplant, and seasoned trout, that we turned into delicous sandwiches. Joann has a way of making the best of it. Aunt Judy came up from Poughkeepsie to babysit with Larissa. Lucky girl. Thanks, Judy. On Friday, we went to Meriden, CT for an Ives family reunion. Joann's mother, Clotilde Brezeau Ives, died on April 9, 1993, which was Good Friday that year. The Ives siblings have made a tradition of getting together on Good Friday, and making a visit to the gravesite of Mom and Dad. Saturday evening, Mary Frances and Ron hosted us for dinner at the farm on Spillway Road, and Sunday afternoon we drove to Poughkeepsie for dinner with Judy, Jim, and Jay Barba. Jennifer flew in from California to join us for dessert. (She'll be here for two weeks.) A busy weekend.
Thanks for visiting. Please continue your prayers and positive thoughts. Joann is continuing her battle against lung cancer with incredible resolve and good spirits. Jim is blessed with Joann and Larissa, and we all thrive with wonderful support from family and friends.
