Larissa | Jim | Blacky Thank you for stopping by to check on Joann. We hope this page is useful, and we will try to keep it as up-to-date as possible. Since Joann is much more mobile these days, we ask that anyone intending to visit please contact Joann or Jim ahead of time. Lowell Thing has returned from vacation, and his first feature article will appear in a few days. Bob Starbuck's Photos from August 1 Picnic |

How she is: Joann continues to improve with each day. She slept part of last night without a canula -- that means no oxygen assistance for awhile! Her incisional wound seems to be healing well (Jim's guess). We see Dr. Eglowstein tomorrow morning, before chemotherapy, to get a real opinion. Judy Barba is spending several days in Albany. Dinner was shell steaks from Schneller's, brought by Jim, and salad, bread, corn, and potatoes from Judy. That might help boost the red-blood cells.

About baby Larissa: Larissa weighed 1545 grams last night, about 3 lbs 6-1/2 oz. She continues to practice with the bottle. She had 14 cc with Daddy holding the bottle during the 6:00 am feeding this morning. Friday is going to be the day to move to Benedictine Hospital in Kingston. We will archive email to Larissa at larissa@iswis.com

What about Jim? Jim totally unbiased opinion is that he has a beautiful wife, with a wonderful smile, and a very pretty baby daughter. Jim asks that you continue your prayers and positive thoughts. We can see a light ahead - the tunnel seems to be still long. Thanks to all.

And Blacky? Blacky is still out at the farm on Spillway Road where Jim's sister Rosmarie is taking good care of him. Thanks Rosmarie.
