Jim's instructions to the hospital
worked out well (if you follow them carefully). Sooner or later,
you will find Joann's room and here you just need to allow oh,
about 15 extra minutes because there's a good chance she will
have been moved to a new room. They kind of like to move her
around.
When I finally found Joann, it seemed
very much like the Joann I've known and worked with: cheerful,
rather in charge. Very nice picture of Jim on her new computer
stand (the computer is on its way). Considering the news described
elsewhere on these pages, Joann looks amazingly...normal. "Well,"
I said, "some people will do anything to keep from having
to take over the Kingston home page." Joann snickered at
that. Initially, I gave Joann a little hug. Later, I realized
I had forgotten to ask to feel the baby. Joann said that Larissa
is moving around a fair amount. Just remember you read it here
first: Joann is going to record "The Cat in the Hat"
and several other Dr. Seuss books so that her voice can be played
back to Larissa in her first days in the preemy ward.
Jim and Joann agreed that the Web site was doing its job...giving people "something to do"....go look at the Web page. Food report: Joann is eating everything that is served. Food is served hot. Favorite stuffed animal gift: large stuffed frog couple. Didn't expect to be so entertained! Jim has brought a cot in for the coming weekend. What a family...Joann, Larissa, Jim, the frog couple. See you next week, Joann!
